Ofsted Information
Reydon Primary Report
We are delighted to share that following our recent Ofsted visit in February 2024, we have been rated as ‘Good’ across all five key areas within Ofsted’s framework. These areas are quality of education; behaviour and attitudes; personal development; leadership and management, and early years provision. This led to the overall rating of ‘Good’.
This outcome is a reflection of the hard work and commitment of our staff and of the whole school community. We hope you and your children will feel a great sense of pride in being part of this success.
Here are some of the highlights from the report, and from additional feedback we received from the inspectors during their visit:
- Our school is welcoming and has a family ethos with caring staff.
- We have high expectations for all our pupils and everyone learns well. Our curriculum plans demonstrate our ambitions for our pupils.
- Our early reading curriculum is effective, with checks to ensure that we help anyone who needs extra support.
- Behaviour is good and our school is “calm and purposeful”. Pupils are proud to be part of Reydon Primary School.
- Safeguarding is a strength in our school. Our pupils are safe at school and know who to go to if they have concerns.
- We are passionate about supporting our pupils with SEND effectively.
- Pupils learn about different cultures and faiths and are tolerant of differences. Everyone is treated with respect.
- We work in partnership with parents in a variety of ways, including our parent share activities.
- The Active Learning Trust and our school governors support the school’s effective leadership.
